P.E.A.C.E. (People Ensuring Animal Care Exists) is a not-for-profit based in British Columbia whose objective is to unite and provide support and assistance to all the farm animal sanctuaries across the province. The organization’s focus is on three priority areas: Resources, Rescues and Education. Through its “Resources” activities, the organization will be searching for and collecting free and discounted resources for sanctuaries, such as free feed from food waste organizations, discounted building materials, etc. Its “Rescues” area will be providing animal transportation services for sanctuaries and will manage a rescue fund to help pay for gas, trailer rentals and emergency ferry costs. They are also developing an online search engine for sanctuaries to list which locations have available spaces to rehome rescued animals. Through its “Education” component, P.E.A.C.E. will organize social media classes for sanctuary staff and volunteers to help them increase their online presence, provide support to sanctuaries interested in conducting tours for schools and senior centres and will look to develop free humane education workshops at schools. We are providing our support to help them start-up and launch various promotional activities!
