A New Generation of Jewish Activists
The Shamayim V’Aretz Institute is a Jewish animal welfare organization which organizes an annual retreat for selected Jewish college and university students. We are helping fund this retreat which is a unique opportunity to train these students who care deeply and passionately about animal welfare. Participants will be trained as advocates, learn to lead campaigns and be taught to organize college-wide learning initiatives. Their outreach work will promote greater awareness of healthier eating habits and mindfulness, highlight the advantages of a plant-based diet, and promote a greater understanding of the environmental footprint of our daily dietary choices. The objective of the retreat is to motivate the next generation to speak out against cruelty and become effective activists in the field!
